Who Is DCortesi?

Per Kasia, I’ll be putting up a little “about me” page one of these days. Granted, it’s mostly family that reads my site…but for the hapless bloglinker, it could be useful.

Bloglinking

Bloglink - The process of jumping from one blog to another via links on the bloggers’ page. I “bloglinked” to your site, or the act of “bloglinking”.

New Server Again!

| Comments

Wow - I think I’ve got everything up and running on the new server. Just need to make sure there’s nothing I forgot and I’ll be set. The only thing I can’t seem to run is mod_log_sql, so I’ll have to work on that. All I need to do now is get the dev site functional. Night!

Update: It seems much quicker too, for some reason.

Happy Easter!

You’re a superhero-God of Beer. Saucy but bold, you’re a man of few words. You are tough, smart, and know how to thrust your pelvis in the “direction of the problem”.
Which Simpsons Character are YOU?

The End of an Era

Jordan played his last game tonight. Ever since I was eight years old an an Aunt bought me a Jordan poster and I had no clue who he was, I’ve been a fan. Jordan always pushed himself to be the best he could be and never relaxed during a game. Whether that’s had some sort of subconcious effect on my own desire to play to the bone is unknown, but I’ve always been in awe of his airness. And I can’t say I’ve heard too much controversy about him off the court, either, which is very impressive considering some of the antics of other players. Apparently, the Sixers gave Jordan two free throws at the end of the game. He hit them both for a total of 32,292 points in his career. Simply amazing. He will be missed.

Reagan Dead?

Nah, CNN just screwed up a little. I guess one has to be prepared, but you think they would have learned a lesson from the Truman/Dewey days!

WOTD: Misconfiguration

| Comments

Did you know that misconfiguration is not a word? Webster doesn’t know about it, at least, that’s for sure. This is a very common word used in technical environments and I was surprised to learn (via Ryan) that it is not actually a real word.

Tonight was the end-of-busy-season party at work. It was at a local place of business and I think I played sand volleyball for four hours straight. Other than a few broken ribs (bellyflop onto the sand) and sand in places you don’t even want to know about, it was pretty good. Just reminds me that I still need to get out more and “do stuff”.
