Some guy last night told me I looked like a professional wrestler. I don’t know what he was thinking, but I wish I could remember who he said I looked like. I didn’t know there were that many short wrestlers out there. I then proceeded to tell a homeless guy to get a card swiper so he could take credit cards instead of cash. He seemed to like the idea.

In other news, it seems Syracuse whipped up Kansas last night 81-78. It didn’t help that KU missed 18 free throws - ouch! Warrick had an awesome block at the end of the game too to preserve SU’s 3-point lead. Of course, one should note that UConn defeated Syracuse twice during the regular season and thus, could have won the tournament. ;)

Back to work.

Spring Ahead

| Comments

Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead! Time to come out of hibernation, now! Time for the days of eating lunch on the patio and cleaning the car every weekend. Time to wake up even earlier and stay outside until somebody calls me in. Seeing as how I don’t live with a Mom anymore, looks like I won’t be getting called in and can stay out and play as long as I want to! ;)

John Companies Rules!

| Comments

I’m making another switch on my John Companies server. I’m moving from FreeBSD back to Linux again. I guess I like change. Staying with one thing for too long makes Damon a dull boy!

p.s. That explains for my lack of posts lately - trying to get the new server set up. w00t.

Virtual Driving School

| Comments

I’m always looking for good advice on driving and when somebody on the EuroTek forums pointed out this BMW Virtual Driving School, I had all the videos downloaded in under half an hour. Of course, I then proceeded to practice my shifting for the next two hours. The video’s are really good and have already helped. I can already feel my shifts being much cleaner than before.

April What Day?

Oh yea - Happy April Fool’s Day? Since I’m not much of the jokester, feel free to take a look at the Top 100 Hoaxes of April Fool’s Day.

Family Address Book

| Comments

I recently read that Mark is thinking about implementing a family address book. This is a really cool idea and something I wouldn’t mind doing. Of course, I can hardly keep my web sites maintained, so that might be something for another year…

Bawx$ Tail Rubi Con

| Comments

I’ll start with the end of Rubi Con and work my way back. After an exciting and entertaining five hour drive home, we pulled up in to the garage at work. At that point, I had a vivid image of my car keys in the drawer next to my bed in the hotel room. Yes folks, I left my car and house keys back in Detroit. While dumbling for my spare, I also happened to drop my camera. So now the battery compartment does not shut properly. Nevermind the fact that I was pretty tired from the night before. Thankfully, the hotel was able to find my keys and they will hopefully be mailing them back to me all in good time. Hrrm…need to go forage for some food for now. I took a nice long nap when I got home and just woke up. Very hungry.

Rubi Con

Hello from somewhere near Detroit, MI. I’m up here for Rubi Con and have already been to a couple presentations. It seems they save Friday for the newbie speakers. ;) And that is all I have to say about that for now. More later!

Sweet Tea!

| Comments

Via Dan, it seems Georgia has a bill pending to make it illegal for a restaurant to not offer Sweet Tea to patrons! Interestingly enough, it seems some dude, Rep. John Noel, D-Atlanta, got the idea at a restaurant in Chicago when he wasn’t able to order sweet tea. Admittedly,

Noel acknowledged the bill was an attempt to bring a little humor to the Legislature. But he said he wouldn’t mind if it became law.

Mller Lite Girls

| Comments

Oh, and by the way - the phrase “miller lite girls” has now surpassed “alpine cda-7894” as the #2 search phrase bringing people to my pages. Of course, that doesn’t take into account the other incantations of the 7894 name, which would make it #1. Regardless, the #1 search phrase at this time is “pics of snow”. Unfortunately…that brings people to a picture of my car in the snow…probably not what they were looking for ;).
