Keith gives a bunch of reasons why he thought Two Towers wasn’t as good as the first. My favorite one that he mentioned is: Dude, the two hobbits (Perigrin and Merry, right?) spent like a half hour of the movie riding on the back of a dumb tree. Haha - I laughed out loud when I read that. Sadly…it’s true. I really liked Two Towers though, especially Legolas’ Matrix-like moves. Now those were kewl!
ouch I’m so sore today after the massive snowball fight between my brother and I yesterday. Well, it’s actually just my arm that’s sore. Threw a heckload of snowball’s! Here is a pic of the war zone - we obliterated the front yard. It was nice and pristine….and then we got there. ;-)
Well - back safe and sound in good ‘ol Chicago…too bad nobody else is here! That’s alright, though, as it will motivate me to get stuff done. Already tonight I’ve cleaned my bedroom and the bathroom - w00t. It’s so enjoyable being productive!
Just saw the Two Towers again - I still love the matrix-like move that Legolas pulls off. Unfortunately, I think I was the only one in the theater who was quite so excited by it. :)
Yikes!
Wooooohooooooo! Merry Christmas. Snowing like crazy here - perfect for a Christmas day. X-Mas ‘ought2 was the year of the book. I got about…8 books I think, which should keep me quite busy on plane rides. One of them was Cathedral Builders which Ken Follett referenced in his introduction for a recent edition of Pillars of the Earth - one of my favorite books of all time. More later :)
Merry Christmas! I hope everybody is enjoying Christmas Eve somewhere warm and happy. :)
Ah, good ‘ol Torrington. I headed down to the local Stop ’n Shop today (a grocery store for you midwesterners) to pick up some necesseties and decided to use the nice automated checkout machine. Prior to this evening, I thought I was somewhat technically adept, however that machine made me feel like a moron. I started putting stuff through, but the woman ahead of me got mildy angry and told me she was still trying to bag her stuff. So I tried to take my stuff of…and it didn’t like that. So I ended up fooling with the machine for about 5 minutes trying to get it to work. sigh I did get it to work eventually, though.
Some people, like this dude, have way too much time on their hands. He’s documented Windows errors that he’s received over the past 6 years. <neo>whoa</neo>
