So when I originally moved to my new server, I figured I mine as well install Apache 2…why not have the latest and greatest?? Yes, I did this despite PHP’s current not fully tested state with Apache2. However, if I want to log to mysql, I have to go back to apache 1.3 as mod_log_sql does not currently work with Apache2. Drat. Now I have to figure out how to move back to 1.3…let the fun begin!

Looks like BMW has taken control of Rolls-Royce from Volkswagen. Along with this comes the new Rolls-Royce Phantom, complete with an umbrella stand and cigar case. I think I need a cigar case mod. ;-)
Hrm - Can’t believe I missed that. Yesterday was, was 1/2/3.
I wanted to quickly detail what I did to get Gallery-1.3.1 to work on BSD, php, and Apache. There were some functions that used the file_exists function. However, recent versions of PHP have some issues using that function with just the filename and no path. All I need to do to correct this was call the realpath function on the filename. Had to make a few replacements, but worked fine!

Every once in a while, I feel an odd desire to go back to being a sysadmin. Making things work right and obtaining that accomplished feeling is definitely a warm and fuzzy feeling. However, the high of breaking in is just wayyy too appealing right now. ;-)
