Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Discovery channel? I’m currently looking at a completely transparent, 5-inch animal that lives miles below the surfaceof the ocean.

I’m also very close to getting my servers finally finalized. My pop wants an e-mail account and that’s the last thing I have to figure out how to configure. But now I must sleep…sorry pop. :)

So I think I’m going to get an L-Shaped desk and orient it so it will kind of bisect my loft and my back will be to the wall. I think that’ll work pretty well. I’ll take some pics when I get it all set up :)

I’ve decided to remove the hostnames in the comments. It wasn’t really doing anything useful….

So I took a drive into work this morning to gauge how much time I’ll need when I actually start. It only took about 20 minutes, which isn’t too bad. On the way back, however, I found what is probably the most confusing design for a Main St. I have ever seen. It’s in the town that I live and basically, if you want to go straight down Main, you have to keep shifting lanes. This is because there are alternating right and left turn lanes. I’m sorry, but that just seems like a very poor and confusing design.

So I went out to look for desks again today. I’m still not quite sure what I want. I saw one at office max, but after taking dimenions…it won’t fit in the 90 degree corner of my loft. I also saw a pretty neat smoked glass desk at Office Depot, but…we’ll see.

Sweet. I’ve got exim set up to accept virtual domains, so now I can get e-mail at dcortesi.com. I just need to setup up some pop3 and imap servers next.

YAY! People can read about my life again. Now I just have to hope that my ip doesn’t change again. My, how DHCP irritates me. :-\

ugh - I gotta go to bed. My interweb is flaky at best as well as is my right eye.

If there’s one thing I hate in this world, it’s DNS propagation. There has got to be a better way to do it. For example, even though I never once put in such an address, dcortesi.com is coming up as a 10.0.0.0 address. I have no clue why it would be coming up like that. sigh
