Amazing - I finally broke down today and purchased a new earpiece headset for my phone as I could not find mine. So, what happens? I find my previous headset this evening…simply amazing.
It feels good to get out again. Got home tonight and went swimming. Then I went for a 2.5 mile run and promptly proceeded to pass out. Then it was to the pool again to cool off. And now…time for dinner! ;-)
Hello? Who’s there??
What a day. Headed out about 10:30 this morning to go down to the Taste of Chicago. Now I understand why this city is one of the fattest in the country. Had a turkey leg, which was pretty good. Along with a few other random samplings of tasty food. Then it was off to Hot Imports night where all the local punks show off their tripped out cars. There were a handful of BMW’s there, but nobody had done anything too special to them. Most of them just had a new air intake, clear side turn lamps, and some interior trim work. Unfortunately, I didn’t learn anything more than I already knew. I must hit the sack for now, though. My feet are absolutely killing me.
mmmm….Taste of Chicago today.
“Alice uses homodyne detectors to make to make Bell-state measurements of the quadrature phase amplitudes for the combined input beam and the EPR state, destroying the input beam during the process." Doesn’t that just sound cool?? It came from an article about Quantum Teleportation, which I think is the best thing since sliced bread…especially considering how much I’ve been traveling recently.
I need a digital camera - any suggestions? I’m thinking something along the lines of a high-end (of course) Sony. Possibly one that could even do video. I’ve got so many pictures I need to take - my car when it’s clean, my new server rack (ohhh yea), the apartment, etc.
I tried to sync my palm with my laptop tonight, but was having some problems: Symptom: After selecting InfraRed in the hotsync menu, I would get the following message - Error accessing the IR port…. Solution: Turn your palm on and align the infrared ports. You should get the Wireless link icon in your system tray. Right-click that tray iconand select Options. Click on the Image Transfer tab and uncheck the option to use the wireless link to transfer images. Hit OK and this fixed it for me!
Server Rack?? Yes, I went out to Target the other night and bought myself some nice wire storage racks that I have moved my servers, network gear, and monitors over to. It looks pretty nice in the corner of my closet regardless of the fact that I had to take the closet door off to even get it in.
